How often should you service your car?
Your logbook or owner manual is the best guide. These are typical ranges, and your car may differ.
5,000 km
Or about every 6 months
Typical for conventional oil, older engines, short trips and towing.
7,500 to 10,000 km
Or about every 6 to 12 months
Typical for semi-synthetic oil and many modern petrol engines.
10,000 km or more
Or about every 12 months
Where the manufacturer allows it, with fully synthetic oil. Always follow the schedule for your model.
